This idea of sacrament, of the body being the sacrament of God's image, and other instances like that, have been coming to my attention more often lately. A particular instance is Capon saying that Jesus death and resurrection is a sacrament of God's saving grace planned from the beginning of the world. The Gospel was decreed from before time and would be carried out as a decree, yet God chose Jesus incarnation, death and resurrection as the visible means of that invisible grace. I think that's a pretty cool idea.
I am a husband of one and father of five. I am a Pastor and teacher, a gardener and philosopher, a coach and a lover of God's good gifts of food, drink, friends and family. I like the Packers and love football.
Thanks for introducing me/us to Leithart's blog. I have found many of his posts to be quite interesting, and convicting.
